Market Center
[Jan 17]DALLAS, USA--The Dallas
Market Center, host of the January Total Home and Gift Market,
which got under way this week, is looking to set a record with the
grand opening of KidsWorld at 9 a.m. Friday.
The show aims to break the Guinness World Record for
largest kazoo band. The current unofficial record is 3,800 people,
set by Bob Jones University in November, according to a news release
from the Dallas
Market Center.
Show officials project that about 50,000 will attend
the market, and the hope is several thousand will gather for the
KidsWorld opening.
The 200,000-square-foot idsWorld, on the
eighth floor of the World Trade Center, is a mix of permanent, temporary
and shared showrooms offering a range of infant and youth product
such as furniture, apparel, toys, gifts, décor, accessories and
more.
In addition to the four Total Home and Gift markets
each year, several of the showrooms will also be open for the five
annual apparel shows.
