Yoga Class - Flavorpill and JetBlue sets world
record
NEW YORK CITY, USA -- Under the guidance
of acclaimed yogi Elena Brower, 10,000 yoga practitioners
gathered on Central Park’s Great Lawn for a calming session
under the open skies - setting the new world record for the
Largest
Yoga Class.

The World's Largest
Yoga Class was led by world renowned yoga teacher,
acclaimed yogi, Elena Brower who has helped sculpt the asanas
and bodies of celebrities like Christy Turlington and Naomi
Watts.
Bower is the founder and co-owner of Virayoga,
a yoga studio in SoHo. Her classes are usually filled.
The idea came from one of Bower's
students who owns an event company, called Flavorpill. The
Largest
Yoga Class in The World was documented from a 150-foot
crane, providing amazing aerial views of the 10,000 practicing
yogis.
JetBluel provided free yoga mats to
all attendees. The event also featured a performance by Buddy
Wakefield, Wah!, O'Konsi Rhythms and others.
The gathering follows a similar stunt in
the city’s Times Square, which was held to mark the summer
solstice.
The free annual 'Summer Solstice in Times
Square Yoga-thon' attracted thousands of participants and
many more who watched the day-long event.
