Longest
Backwards Limbo Skating-world record set by Kaitlyn
Conner
BLUE SPRINGS, MO, USA --
Eleven-year-old Kaitlyn
Conner, a.k.a “The Limbo Queen,” can roller skates
under 23 lombo bars, spread over twelve feet-setting the new
world record for the Longest
Backwards Limbo Skating. Photo:
"The significance of this feat is that it is difficult
to gather enough momentum to skate backward for twelve feet
in the splits position under “limbo” bars so low to the ground"
said her mom, Victtoria Conner.

Kaitlyn has been roller-skating since she was
3 years old, and doing the splits on skates since she was
4.
“I started when I was 3. My mom and dad took
me skating and I guess I wasn’t that good,” Kaitlyn said.
“So they kept skating with me and I got better by the time
I was 4.”
It was when she was at the skating rink as a 4
year old that started it all.
“I saw this girl, her name was Brittany, doing the
splits on skates and I wanted to do that,” Kaitlyn said. Kaitlyn
practiced every day — starting with learning the splits without
her skates on.
“And by the time I was 4-and-a-half, I had it,” she
said.
She taught herself how to backwards skate,
do some jame skating and taught herself how to limbo on skates.
The "Limbo" than became her favorite game and she practiced
until she had the skill perfected. Her nickname is the "Limbo
Queen"
In June 2006, Kaitlyn appeared on “The
Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” as part of the show’s
“Don’t try this at home,” segment.
In July 2008 Kaitlyn
Conner appeared (see video)
on ABC’s newest show “Wanna
Bet”, which showcases contestants with extraordinary
talents. A panel of celebrity judges place wagers on whether
the contestant can perform a feat in front of a studio audience.
Kaitlyn
Conner skates at least three times a week at Watson’s
Rolladium in Blue Springs, and besides her two national television
appearances, she has also appeared in a city of Blue Springs
commercial.
Titles that Kaitlyn has won:
-Limbo Championship for Blue Springs
- Current Limbo Championship for Jefferson City,
MO. summer of 2004
- Speed Skating record the summer of 2003 and
2004
