Fastest Time to Balance a Dozen Eggs: Brian Spotts sets world record (HD Video)
DACONO, CO, USA -- Dacono man Brian Spotts, 33, aka 'Eggs' stood 900 eggs on end
at the APM Mall in Hong Kong, setting the world record for
the Fastest time to balance a dozen eggs.

The Guinness world record for the
Fastest time to balance a dozen eggs was 1 min 36 sec, achieved by Ashrita Furman (USA) in the Sri Chinmoy Centre, Jamaica, New York, USA.
Guinness World Records also recognized the most eggs balanced by an individual: 888, achieved by Ashrita Furman (USA) at York College in New York, New York, USA.
He also broke the world record for Most Eggs Balanced Simultaneously by an Individual, 900 eggs!
"Since I've been back, several people call me 'Eggs' as a nickname at work," admitted Spotts.
"Mom told us we could only balance an egg on the equinox," he said, repeating a common urban legend (eggs can actually be balanced on any day of the year).
"So every equinox, we took our eggs and tried to stand them up. We used to joke about how many eggs we could do if we had enough time and enough eggs," Longmont Times reports.
Egg balancing may not require an equinox, but it does require a light touch. Spotts practiced half an hour a day, getting just the right grip -- the thumb and forefinger of each hand positioned just at the top of the egg.
"I don't use tables because if you bump it, you can lose 100 eggs just like that," said Spotts. His workplace at Denver International Airport is just as bad; despite the wide concourses, there's too many trains rumbling below and planes passing close above to give a solid base.
