PHOENIX, AZ, USA -- Arizona Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson snapped 1,449 photos of himself - about 25 a minute, setting the new world record for the Most selfies taken in an hour while visiting Deer Valley High School in Phoenix; the 24-year-old's selfie marathon was part of NBC Sports Digital's social media campaign surrounding Super Bowl XLIX,

The Guinness World Records' record for the most self-portrait photographs (selfies) taken in one hour is 1,449 and was achieved by Patrick Peterson and NBC Sports (both USA) with students and faculty at Deer Valley High School in Glendale, Arizona, USA.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the longest self photographs (selfies) relay chain; it is 289 people, and was achieved in an event organised by Dubai Motor Festival, at Meydan, in Dubai, UAE, on 28 November 2014. Each student had only two seconds to pose with the former Louisiana State University player to beat the record.
The previous Guinness World Records record was 657. Along with students fromDeerValleyHigh School, Peterson was in every photo and took every picture himself.
