Winston-Salem, NC , USA -- The World Record for the largest group doing sit-ups simultaneously for one minute was officially set at Gateway YWCA in Winston-Salem; Red H.E.A.R.R.T organized the record-breaking event, which included a total of 414 Winston-Salem/Forsyth County community participants as well as Winston-Salem Mayor Allen Joines completing the attempt successfully,

The Guinness World Records' record for the most people doing sit-ups simultaneously is 414, at an event organised by Cheryl Lindsay, Founder of Red H.E.A.R.R.T (USA) in Winston-Salem, North Carolina , USA, on 5 February 2015.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the most people performing push ups; it is 615, and was achieved by R.V College of Engineering (India) in Bangalore, Karnataka, India, on 22 March 2014.
