Nolan, who had never played darts before, beat Rosiak 109-43. "It's very satisfying actually. It stays with you for life."
"The only thing about him beating me," Rosiak said, "is now I want a rematch."
"To be recognized as part of the greatest darts marathon team in the history of the world, after never playing an official game of darts, is a great thing," Nolan said."It's a good conversation starter."
Under the rules provided by Guinness World Records, the men earned a 5-minute break for each hour of play. The breaks were strategically combined to allow for recovery time throughout the marathon. The previous Guinness World record for theLongest game of darts was set at 26 hours and 42 minutes by Chris Nessling and Mick Dundee.
Jason Rosiak and Dominic Nolan, were recently recognized by Guinness World Records for playing the longest game of darts in history.
Rosiak said healthy food such as fruits, vegetables and turkey sandwiches kept their energy levels up while family, friends and members of their church kept their spirits and enthusiasm from flagging.
The men played 501, in which players compete to get to 0 by subtracting numbers they hit on the dart board.
