LOS ANGELES, CA, USA -- During the Sprite Slam Dunk Contest at the 2011 NBA All-Star Game at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, JaVale McGee jumped with two basketballs in his possession before dunking each and receiving a third basketball to dunk via alley-oop from teammate John Wall , setting the world record for the most basketballs dunked in a single jump.
The Guinness world record for the longest basketball dribbling marathon is 55 hr 26 min by Pawan Kumar Srivastava (India) at Lucknow Public College, Lucknow, India.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the most people spinning a basketball simultaneously: 104 participants in an event organised by Cheshire Jets Basketball Club, UK.
JaVale McGee (born January 19, 1988) is an American professional basketball player who was selected 18th overall by the Washington Wizards in the 2008 NBA Draft.
He is a center who is listed at 7'0" and 252 lb. On July 9, 2008, he signed a two-year, $2.4 million deal with the Wizards.
His father, 6'10" George Montgomery, was a 1985 second-round draft selection by the Portland Trail Blazers.
Also his mother, Pamela McGee, was a USC standout and WNBA star for the Los Angeles Sparks and Sacramento Monarchs.
McGee is the first son of a WNBA player to ever play in the NBA.
