Houston Astros Fans sets world record
HOUSTON, TX, USA -- The Houston Astros
have teamed up with the producers of the independent film,
"Pocket Full of Soul: The Harmonica Documentary," and
distributed harmonicas to 10,000 fans in attendance, who were
taught to play a song by several celebrated harmonica players
in video tutorials - setting the new world record for the
Largest
Harmonica Ensemble.

In cooperation with the Astros, the people behind last year's
harmonica documentary Pocket Full of Soul organized an attempt
to break the official Guinness world record for Largest
Harmonica Ensemble by passing out 10,000 harmonicas
(color-coded green, red and blue) following the team's 4-2
loss to the Dodgers in 11 innings at Minute Maid Park. Photo

The version of "Take Me Out To The Ballgame"
played during the seventh-inning stretch was also conducted
with the harmonica.
Astros manager Brad Mills said before the game
that he wouldn't be surprised if some of his players took
part in the production, but joked that he wasn't interested
himself. "I try to use my hot air in other places," Mills
quipped.
The previous Guinness World Record for the
Largest
Harmonica Ensemble was held by a group from Hong Kong,
who set the record of 6,131 in 2009.
"Pocket
Full of Soul" is an independent film that features
performers, including Clint Black, Huey Lewis, John Popper
